9-year-old Mauco, from Guaymallen, Argentina doesn’t have much in regards to material possessions in his life. But, he does have one thing he loves a lot and that’s his skateboard. One day he was skateboarding down the streets when he noticed an injured dog with a broken leg. He decided not to ignore the pooch and carried him home to care for him.

Mauco’s family doesn’t have much money, so he asked his mom to let him use her Facebook to sell his skateboard. He planned on using whatever money he received to pay for the vet to fix Rocco’s leg. He wrote, “Hi, I’m Mauco, son of Laura. She allowed me to borrow her Facebook because I don’t have one. Look at the puppy I found on the street. It’s sick and has a broken leg. We gave him food and a bath but it needs medicine. I’m selling my skateboard to take him to the vet. If anyone is interested in the skateboard, leave your number here and my mom will call you back. Thanks, Mauco.”

Even though he is a child, the young boy was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to fix Rocco’s leg. Unfortunately, no one really showed much interest in buying Mauco’s skateboard, but people started sharing the post within a matter of day. Before long, the post had gone viral.

Fortunately, after the post went viral many people were willing help out financially. Now, as Rocco continues his journey towards a slow but steady recovery, he has become an invaluable part of the family.
