Finding the strength and ability to realize the good things you have in your life after a very tragic event can seem impossible, but this young woman who lost her 6-month-old son to illness is trying to bring people together to help them reconcile their grief when they feel as though all hope is lost.

Lexi Behrndt’s son Charlie was only 6-months-old when she lost him due to a congenital heart defect that he was born with. During the time Charlie was alive, he spent most of his time in and out of the hospital.

Lexi was devastated by the loss of her son and she complete broke down. She knew she wanted to keep his legacy alive and she took to the internet to do so. She told her story openly, discussing her struggles of coping with the loss of her baby.

Lexi decided to start ‘Scribbles and Crumbs,’ a blog dedicated to establishing a community where people could come together to grieve. The blog became a place where readers could post about their experiences and struggles with overcoming their own losses using the hashtag #oncomingalive.

Now, more than 70 others have shared their own stories, revealing the emptiness they felt and how they overcame those feelings to be able to move on with their lives. The blog is helping people find the support they need to begin their own healing through the stories of others dealing with the same thing.

This is an amazing and inspiring thing that Lexi is doing to help others and it’s absolutely beautiful that through the tragic loss of her own son, she was able to think outside of herself and her own pain to support other people suffering from the same type of loss. Charlie’s legacy WILL live on forever.

SHARE this inspiring story with your friends and family today on Facebook and if you know of someone suffering from a painful loss, direct them to Lexi’s blog Scribbles and Crumbs to tell their own story and begin the process of healing.
