How many times have you gone to the grocery sore late on a Friday night, looking for a pint of something delicious to eat with your wine as you watch Netflix?

If I had to take a wild guess, 68% of you would grab Cookie Doe Ice Cream, while 32% of you would grab Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream or Chocolate Ice Cream.

I don’t know about you, but I have always wondered what would a Ben & Jerry’s cookie actually taste like? Would the dough even bake into a cookie?

Thrillist writer Andy Kryza had the same thought one night and decided to put it to the test…

First, he took out each of the cookie dough balls inside the pints of ice cream. He says “Are they actually, you know, cookie dough? Or are they some sort of weird, cookie dough-flavored concoction?”

Obviously the little dough balls were tiny, so he also took a bunch of the cookie ballz and bundled them up into a “normal” sized glob of goodness.

Success! Andy says that the cookies “Tasted and felt like Cookie Crisp cookies, only not crispy and prone to burglary.”

“The mini cookies were pretty good, so I had to try a big cookie. All wadded up, the dough chunks make for a nice little boulder. Obviously, it was bigger than a penny. Less obvious is why I put the damn penny in my mouth again.”

Of course he wanted to see what would happen if you literally put an entire pint of Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Doe Ice Cream in the oven.

“But you know what it tastes like? Pudding. Hot, delicious pudding. Vanilla pudding, to be precise, with half-cooked chocolate chip cookies taking the place of those booger-y tapioca balls old people like.” says Andy.
