A billboard in Toronto is making major headlines because it is actually encouraging people to text and drive. The reason? It is a promotion for a funeral home!
But when we tried Googling “Wathan Funeral Home”, we found that the website is actually a PSA and not an actual funeral home.
We’re just trying to get Canadians to stop texting and driving, which is projected to kill more people in Ontario this year than drinking and driving,” the site says.
In the United States, each day more than 9 people are killed and more than 1,153 people are injured in crashes that are reported to involve a distracted driver. Distracted driving is driving while doing another activity that takes your attention away from driving.
