Mom Learns The Hard Way About The Dangers Of Scented Candles

Like most people, a mother named Meghan lit two large scented candles and let them burn for a 7 hours. The next morning, she noticed distinct black spots in her nose and in her baby’s nostrils. She had no idea the dangers that burning scented candles for more than 3 hours can do to your body.


During an interview, Lisa Liberatore confirmed that soot can build up if candles are left burning for more than 3 hours. The soot can also clog heating and cooling units. You should make sure the wick is trimmed and to never burn it a drafty area.
