A super popular snack for kids, GoGo squeeZ, is under recall for the second time in six months, because parents from all over have been finding mold inside of the snack pouches they’ve been giving to their children.
For months, parents have been posting photos to the GoGo squeeZ Facebook page in outrage after finding mold on the inside of the “healthy” snack packages.
In other instances, parents only found the mold inside the snack once their child had already consumed some or all of it.
According to Yahoo Parenting on Sunday, their applesauce is under recall in pouches with a best before date between June 30, 2016 and July 26, 2016 and a 5-character production code beginning with the letters US.
A spokesman of the company says the mold poses no health risk although the mold could affect the product’s taste and appearance.
In their Facebook announcement, the company says that the new recall is over concerns that some of its products may not meet “quality standards.”
On the company’s FAQ page on their website, they claim that the mold happens because their pouches are “preservative free.”
And, even after their previous recall in October, parents continue to find mold inside the pouches..
