A new ruling has been made in Shawano, Wisconsin, that will force the parents to pay a fine who’s children bully other children.

According to FOX17, now that the ordinance has been approved, police in Shawano are going to work with Shawano School District officials to talk with parents of children who are bullying other children.

The parents will have 90 days after they’re informed by police of their child’s behavior to intervene, otherwise they will be fined $366 for the first offense and $681 for the second offense.

The ordinance comes at a time when bullying is at an all-time high causing children to do some pretty radical things to fight back – including school shootings.
