The way you snuggle up to your partner when you go to sleep at night could say more about your love life than you may have thought. There are so many positions you and your loved one can lay in, together or apart, and they all say something about your relationship.
First, for example, is one of the most popular ways to cuddle – spooning. Whether you want to be the big spoon or the little spoon, this is known as the most common snuggling position of a healthy couple. So, if you’re spooning a lot – give yourself a round of applause!
Did you have any idea that there are different variations of spooning? I didn’t, but apparently “The Chase” is a thing. The Chase is the same thing as spooning, except with different intentions. One person in this position is usually a little more affectionate than the other, but that doesn’t mean the relationship isn’t healthy.
If you and your significant other can’t stop touching each other, you’re probably sleeping together in the tangled position. When your bodies become tangled up in one another, this could mean you two are co-dependent.
But, then let’s say you fall asleep intertwined, but sometime in the middle of the night you become untangled from each other – this could mean you’re secure and you can also find the same comfort in yourself that you can in your partner.
Couples who sleep together naked tend to have an adventurous, yet stable relationship. It will keep your love life feeling new and skin-to-skin contact is said to relieve stress and tension.
Sleeping back to back could seem like it’s a sign of a bad thing, but it’s not! You’re secure in your relationship and you’re both independent, so don’t worry about it.
If you’re falling asleep with your head rested on your lover’s chest, you’re positioning yourself in “the nuzzle.” This could mean you’re rekindling an old flame, or filled with passion in a newer relationship.
Lastly, be on the lookout for bed hogs! If your partner is taking up all of the room in the bed, they probably look at your life together in same way – it’s all about them.
So, now you know a little bit more about the way you and your partner sleep together and what it might say about your relationship as a whole. SHARE this post with your friends and family on Facebook to see what they think!
