Although summer is officially over, that doesn’t mean you can’t serve your guests this delicious watermelon Jello shot recipe!

I mean, who doesn’t love Jello shots? Check out the AMAZING recipe below for everything you’ll need to make this sweet treat! *Note: Can also be a great desert for your kids if you take out the vodka 😉

1 12–16 pound watermelon
4 cups vodka
4 3-ounce boxes red Jell-O mix
2 1-ounce boxes unflavored gelatin

Start by cutting your melon in half and scrapping out the fleshy inside. The recipe suggests using a knife to make sure that you’re cutting close to the rind, before using a spoon to actually fish out the juicy fruit on the inside.

Once you’ve shaped your watermelon halves into bowls, you’re ready for the next step. Pour in the Jell-O mix and vodka as you would for any other type of shot recipe. Since this a very big jelly shot, you should also add in extra gelatin to make the mixture firmer. Finally, stick it in the fridge to allow it to set.

Now comes the fun part… slicing. Obviously it’s up to you how to slice it, but going for slices gives it that authentic watermelon look. No pressure though, just enjoy yourself.
