Many people think ear wax can be harmful to your hearing. But the truth is, that it keeps debris, dirt and bacteria out of our ear canals. But there can sometimes be a little “extra” ear wax that can make it hard to hear and cause discomfort.

In the video below, Dr. David Hills suggests using a few drops of baby oil or a mixture of white vinegar and alcohol to help loosen up the ear wax.

Dr. David Hill warns that his tips are only advised for minor wax buildups and the ears should never be flushed with any liquid unless performed by a physician.  So, if you have any serious problem with ear wax or an ear infection, please visit a doctor.
