A family in Whitehorse, Canada thought they had found an abandoned puppy in the woods.
The furry animal was hurt and alone near Marsh Lake. “I just defaulted to thinking it was a dog,” Ralph Shopland told CBC News.
After a couple months, they thought it was maybe a baby otter, but the staff at Yukon Wildlife Preserve eventually determined what type of animal it was. The first sign was the white tip on his tail.
