Handmade gifts always stand out, and this DIY Christmas decoration is sure to impress. The best part is that it’s easy to make. If you have an old mason jar lying around, you can use that for your adorable DIY Christmas candle holder. It gleams and glows in any lighting.
To get started, all you need is a jar, a pair of scissors, a sharpie, a little glitter, some modge podge, and finally, acrylic paint. The adorable city scene that appears on the front of the jar is a simple hand-drawn template, and can be drawn out however you wish. If it is a gift for your family, you could even do a quick sketch of your own home town to make it extra-special. But however you draw it out, when you’re done, cut it out and place it on the inside of the jar to trace it on the outside with your sharpie.
The rest is where the magic happens – use modge podge on the inner parts of your drawing so that the glitter sticks, and dump plenty of glitter over it so that it shines in the candlelight. It’s simple, and beautiful to give for Christmas.
