With the temperatures dropping below freezing, Bridget Stevens was forced to get her furnaced fixed with two young children in the house.

The owner of the Betlyn Heating, Paul, tried walking her through ways to fix the issue over the phone. Realizing this wasn’t going to work, he came out himself to do the repairs.

During a casual conversation, Bridget had mentioned that since her husband was deployed she has been tasked with things around the house.

When he finished working on the furnace, he refused to charge for his services. Paul simply handed a bill to Bridget that said “deployment discount $1.00 charge”.

Even though the $1.00 charge was written as a joke, Bridget genuinely offered him the dollar. Paul declined to accept any money.

Since posting her story on Facebook to thank Paul for his kindness – it has gone viral!
