High school students protested a recent 4-3 vote made by the Clovis Unified School District in California that would have allowed boys to have long hair and wear earrings.
Girls showed up in flannel shirts and baggy jeans.
The current dress code policy was set ages ago in 1975 states that “male haircuts may not fall below the mid-point of a standard stand up shirt collar and earlobes must be visible.” It also says that earrings are “not appropriate or acceptable” for male students. What year is it again?!
Many of the students are taking to social media to take a stand, even going as far as creating a petition.
