This 18-Year-Old Girl Designs And Sews Her Own Gowns. My Jaw Is On The Floor…

By Karly Carpena

Angela Clayton started making her own dresses at age 14 because she couldn’t afford the fancy costumes that people would wear while attending conventions (Like comic-con). Now she is an 18-year-old costume designer that lives in Long Island, New York. She’s recently received a substantial amount of publicity for her original dress designs.

Angela says, “I hope that there is a future career that I will get out of it. I love making costumes and I love bringing ideas to life. If I could do that for fashion, especially for theater or film, that would be awesome…I would rather go straight into that if I can instead of spending four years at school.”
