Rick Ellis, from Arkansas, lost his fun-loving daughter Lindsey when she was just 6-years-old after a drunk driving accident. This post is a lesson on why you should never drink and drive.

Heartbroken, we can see Ellis in the video below begging people to stop drinking and driving: “I’m going to show you something that is the end result of your partying on Friday nights, Saturday nights, whenever,” he says. “Want to get drunk, play around, get stupid? This is what happens…”

When the camera pans over to the headstone, we can see two names: Christy M. Johnson Ellis and Lindsey Kay Ellis.

It turns out that the drunk driver behind the wheel was Ellis’s ex-partner and Lindsey’s mother! Both died because of the selfish act Christy (Ellis’s ex-partner) made that night.

While on vacation with her daughter and her boyfriend, the two started arguing. She then decided to take-off (intoxicated) with their daughter and hit a guardrail causing the car flipped over – killing both of them instantly.

“If you’re struggling with addiction… if you’re struggling with alcohol… I hope this can help you,” Rick says to the camera. “Don’t let your loved ones look down at you six-feet in the ground ’cause you couldn’t handle life. Pull your bootlegs up, grab a hold of life, make something of it. Make Mom and Daddy proud.”
