6 Alternative Uses For Vicks VapoRub

Vicks VapoRub is is one of the oldest and most popular over the counter brand there is. The reason being is that it can be used to treat a large variety of health problems. Unlike today’s modern medicine which is usually taken in pills or tablets, Vicks goes an alternative route by trating all of your ailments using vapors. The main ingredients of Vicks: camphor, eucalyptus oil and menthol are the key reasons of why the product works so well. Now we all know what the box says, but did you know that Vicks has many other useful properties most people would not think about? We made a great list below for you to check out. 1 Headaches
To soothe a headache, try applying Vicks right on to your temples or right under your nose. Breathe in and out slowely and the pain just be alleviated.


2 Muscle aches
Massage Vicks onto the paining muscles, then wrap them in a dry, warm towel for a while.


3 Earaches
Try using a cotton ball with Vicks VapoRub as a simple home remedy to ease the pain. Simply rub a little on a cotton ball and place it in the ear all night or until the pain has subsided.


4 Cracked heels
Apply Vicks to the heels and balls of your feet, then massage it into the damaged areas. Do this in the evening, then sleep with socks on. The next morning, rinse the product off with warm water and exfoliate with a pumice stone.


5 Repel bugs
Try applying light amounts of Vicks to clothing and skin to scare bugs away. If you get bitten anyway, try rubbing some ointment on that spot for itch relief. 2 for 1!


6 Keep animals at bay
Cats hate the smell of Vicks so try lightly applying it to certain pieces of furniture you would like to keep scratch free.
